Petr Bříza

Counsel

Petr Bříza is a counsel at Havel, Holásek & Partners. He specializes in EU law, international trade law (including arbitration), personal data protection, competition law, consumer protection law and the public sector. In these areas, he handles a variety of legal issues, including legal analyses, preparation of specific transactions, dispute resolution and legislative support to clients.

Before joining Havel, Holásek & Partners in 2009, Petr worked for more than four years at the Czech Ministry of Justice, first as the acting director of the EU Department and later as an adviser to the Minister of Justice on European and international law (including during the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union). He served as a ministerial representative in the committee of the governmental plenipotentiary representing the Czech Republic before the European Court of Justice and as an alternate member of the Governmental Committee for EU matters.
