Marek Hejduk
Marek Hejduk is a senior associate at Havel, Holásek & Partners. He specialises in litigation and arbitration, restructuring and insolvency and intellectual property law.
In the field of dispute resolution, Marek focuses primarily on representing clients in civil and commercial disputes before Czech courts of justice and arbitration courts, mainly before the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic.
In the field of restructuring and insolvency, he mainly advises clients on insolvency issues and represents them in insolvency proceedings and adversary disputes.
In the field of intellectual property, Marek represents clients in disputes related to trademarks and designs and in other types of disputes pertinent to trademarks, including disputes stemming from unfair competition.
Before joining Havel, Holásek & Partners in 2010, Marek worked for five years at a prominent Czech law firm, where he provided legal assistance mainly in connection with a range of lawsuits conducted by Czech and foreign businessmen before courts of justice and arbitration courts. In addition, Marek advised foreign businesses on IP law.

- representing a major Czech energy company in proceedings before the Czech Supreme Administrative Court concerning the issue of free access to information
- representing a multinational food company (specialising in coffee and candy products), defending its intellectual property rights and protecting its business against unfair competition
- representing major Czech banks in disputes with the Czech Consolidation Agency stemming from restructuring agreements, conducted before the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic and general courts of justice
- representing a Czech sport federation in a series of lawsuits to determine that decisions of the federation’s organ were in conflict with law and the federation’s bylaws
- representing a major leasing company in court, execution and insolvency proceedings to collect debt from lessees
