Jana Buršíková

Senior Associate

Jana Buršíková is a senior associate at Havel, Holásek & Partners. She specialises in intellectual property law, unfair competition, advertisement regulation and consumer protection with an emphasis on intellectual property aspects, including domain name issues and the cross-border aspects of transactions involving intellectual property rights. She advises on the registration of intangible assets and protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in judicial and administrative proceedings, and assists clients in drafting contractual documentation underlying acquisitions and disposals of intangible assets.

Before joining Havel, Holásek & Partners in 2010, Jana was an associate at PRK Partners for more than 10 years. Jana managed PRK Partners’ IP & IT practice group between 2005 and 2010. Jana has been involved in a number of substantial transactions, including acquisitions of Czech software companies by foreign investors and enforcement of trademark rights and copyrights in courts and before registration or customs authorities on behalf of numerous major Czech and multinational companies. She has also worked on IP legal audits performed on various Czech targets.
