Ondrej Urban

Ondrej Urban is a senior associate at Havel, Holásek & Partners. Ondrej focuses in particular on litigation and arbitration, commercial law and company law, civil law, real estate law and construction, labour law, tax law, administrative law and administrative judiciary.

During his other law practice, Ondrej Urban served as an office director in the Civil Service Office, where he specialized primarily in labour law, collective bargaining, administrative judiciary and administrative law. Subsequently, he worked as an in-house lawyer at J&T Banka, where he gained considerable experience in the areas of commercial, civil and real estate law. In Deloitte Tax he worked as a legal and tax consultant where he focused primarily on M&A, commercial, labour and tax law. He improved his tax law experience during his time working in VOLKSWAGEN SLOVAKIA, where he specialized primarily in tax planning, investment aid and value added tax.

Prior to joining Havel, Holásek & Partners, he worked as a junior associate in a major Slovak law firm where he specialized primarily in civil, commercial law and company law.

TRANSACTIONS

• advising in the comprehensive  legal due diligence of several photovoltaic power plant projects
• representing construction companies in litigation matters and out-of-court negotiations with the consortium members in settling mutual property relationships with respect to the implementation of major residential and infrastructure projects in Bratislava
• representing clients in litigation matters in asserting claims arising out of defects and claims to damages with respect to the defectively prepared project and implementation documentation
• representing clients in administrative proceedings in waste management matters before a public waste management supervisory and inspection authorities
• representing a client in litigation matters involving the privatization of the enterprise of the major crude oil transportation company in Slovakia
• representing telecommunications clients in labour matters
• representing clients in litigation matters arising out of the payment of bills of exchange
• tax and legal advising for both national and foreign investors
