Petra Sochorová
Petra is a counsel at Havel, Holásek & Partners. She specialises primarily in labour law and employee benefits, commercial law, corporate law and mergers & acquisitions.
In her labour law practice, she focuses on drafting contractual documentation for top managers, officers and directors of business companies, labour-law aspects of mergers, acquisitions and restructurings, including labour law due diligence investigations and negotiations with key managers and trade unions within the acquisition and restructuring processes. Petra also focuses on collective bargaining, transfers of employees, dismissals, posting of employees and personal data processing.
Petra regularly gives lectures and contributes to publications dedicated to labour law and other periodicals in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Before joining Havel, Holásek & Partners in 2006, Petra worked as an in-house lawyer at the Office for Supervision of Credit Unions, and subsequently as a junior associate with Kocián Šolc Balaštík.

- advising Europe’s largest low-cost air carrier on opening a branch in the Czech Republic, setting employment relations within the company and subsequent restructuring of the group, including issues of employee transfers, international mobility and application of foreign labour law to employment arrangements in the Czech Republic
- advising a major consumer electronics producer on the dismissal of top managers, including the related issue of employees’ personal data
- advising an international manufacturer of hand-operated electrical tools on the restructuring of the group, winding up the business, mass lay-off and cross-border transfer of employees

- advising a leading global developer of CAD technology modules on collective bargaining
