Pavel Němeček

Pavel Němeček is a managing associate at Havel, Holásek & Partners. He specialises in general commercial and corporate law, legal audits and legal due diligence investigations, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency law and insurance law.

Pavel has advised clients on numerous acquisitions and divestitures on both the buy and the sell sides, mainly in the automotive industry, banking and finance, construction and private equity.

In the field of insurance law, Pavel has advised insurers, insurance brokers and loss adjusters on regulatory, corporate and employment matters and also on matters related to insurance contracts, general insurance terms and conditions and claims management.

Before joining Havel, Holásek & Partners in 2008, Pavel worked as in-house counsel with the international insurance group Generali, and subsequently completed a two-year trainee program at the Gerling insurance company in its headquarters in Cologne, Germany. Pavel worked for almost five years at the major German law firm Gleiss Lutz in Prague, and subsequently for more than a year as a managing associate with the Schaffer & Partner Group in Prague.

• advising the selling shareholders of a major European weaving mill on the sale of their 100% shareholding to an Indian investor
• advising the selling shareholders of a major Czech manufacturer of wood chip conveyors, filtering devices and chip containers on the sale of their 100% shareholding
• advising a global leader in the water management sector on the sale of its shareholdings in several Czech water management companies
• advising a major Austrian leasing company of the BAWAG group on the contemplated acquisition of a major Czech leasing company
• advising a leading Czech insurance broker on the acquisition of a Slovak insurance broker
