Havel, Holásek & Partners is again significantly growing economically, its pre-tax profit for the first half of 2017 in the Czech Republic has increased by almost a quarter

The largest Czech-Slovak law firm Havel, Holásek & Partners has experienced a return to a significant economic growth in the first half of this year. It was successful mainly in the Czech Republic, where it has increased, when compared to the year 2016, its pre-tax profit by more than 20% and a net turnover by more than 11%. The turnover of the entire group together with the co-operating collection agency Cash Collectors has reached more than CZK 390 million. In 2017, the total turnover of Havel, Holásek & Partners could thus reach CZK 800 million.

“Our firm has been growing continuously since its foundation in 2001. However, the turnover of our Bratislava office dropped down last year. That is why we have taken a number of restructuring measures, we have ended cooperation with the two Slovak partners, we are strengthening the team in all positions, and currently we are negotiating with candidates from major international law firms on starting cooperation at partner level. At the beginning of the summer holidays we also moved the Bratislava office to the representative premises of the new business centre in the attractive city part Zuckermandel under the Bratislava Castle. We believe that the results in Slovakia will be significantly better again in the second half of the year,” says the firm’s founder and managing partner Jaroslav Havel to the current economic situation of the office.

The overall economic growth of Havel, Holásek & Partners has a positive influence primarily on the provision of legal services to Czech and Slovak entrepreneurs, especially in the field of real estate projects, mergers and acquisitions, legal and tax structuring of personal property and business disputes. Criminal law practice in the form of close cooperation with the law firm SEIFERT A PARTNEŘI, which Havel, Holásek & Partners started in the middle of last year, is also successfully developing.

The firm’s priority continues to be the strengthening of the leading market position, further expansion of services and the consolidation of relationships with key clients, with no further substantial increase in the number of lawyers.

Especially in the Czech Republic we manage to keep the most talented lawyers on the market in the long term. This is mainly because we put a great emphasis on their professional development and internal career growth, which can be at our firm significantly faster than at our competitors. Since the beginning of this year, for example, we have promoted our five lawyers to the positions of partners,” adds Jaroslav Havel.
