About “Law Firm of the Year” The Law Firm of the Year is a legal competition assessing the quality of legal services rendered by the major law firms in the Czech Republic. It was held for the first time in 2008. The competition is organized by EPRAVO.CZ, an Internet-based company that operates the server www.epravo.cz. EPRAVO.CZ also organizes the Lawyer of the Year competition on an annual basis. This year, the competition had 14 practice-based categories and 2 special categories. The outcome was based on the decisions of a jury of evaluators comprised of representatives of major local and international corporations, law firms, and professionals of EPRAVO.CZ. The results of this year’s Law Firm of the Year competition were announced in the Intercontinental Hotel in Prague on 22 November. |

This year, the firm placed first in the area of public procurement, thus confirming its success that was attained in this category in 2009. Havel, Holásek & Partners was also quoted as being among the best law firms in ten other categories, and is thus the most recommended law firm in the Czech Republic.
